Library Branding
Research * Branding * Visual Identity * Typography
When was the last time a library made you look twice?
The Be'er Sheva City Library project set out to challenge the familiar - turning a quiet, traditional public space into a vibrant, dynamic hub of culture, creativity, and community. Through bold typography, lively colors, and a refreshed digital presence, the library's identity was reimagined to feel accessible, versatile, and alive - inviting new audiences to discover, connect, and stay curious.

From Books to Looks
This project was created as part of a Typography course during my Visual Communication degree studies.
The goal was to develop a typographic logo, a social media post series, and a digital newsletter template for the Be'er Sheva City Library, based on defined brand values.
The Be'er Sheva City Library serves as a vibrant cultural and educational center in the heart of the city.
It provides a wide range of resources - from literature and academic materials to creative workshops and community events - aiming to make knowledge accessible to residents of all ages and backgrounds.
The library's mission extends beyond lending books; it fosters reading culture, supports lifelong learning, and acts as a dynamic meeting point for diverse audiences across the city.* Versatility: The library offers a broad spectrum of content for diverse audiences.
* Content Accessibility: The library’s resources are designed to be easily accessible to all visitors.
The visual identity is rooted in the idea of bringing life, color, and vibrancy into a place that might traditionally be perceived as quiet or formal -
*Color Palette: Bright and lively colors were selected to transform the library into an inviting and dynamic space.
*Typography: The typographic logo combines two distinct typefaces to reflect the brand's core values:
-A stable, mature font for the upper part of the logo, representing professionalism, structure, and reliability.
-A playful, youthful font for the lower part, adding a sense of versatility, creativity, and approachability. To further emphasize the value of content accessibility, the typography was enriched with vocalization marks (nikud) - making the text more approachable, readable, and inclusive for a wider audience.
This typographic interplay visually embodies the library’s commitment to serving a wide range of audiences - from children to adults - while maintaining clarity and openness.
*Tone of Voice: The social media posts and newsletter content maintain a tone that is friendly, approachable, and community-centered.
In addition, the monthly content plan (newsletter) emphasizes offering a wide range of activities and workshops relevant to different age groups, encouraging a sense of belonging and discovery.
